[edit] Creator's comments
The Mystic Rubaiyat was originally conceived as a book with cut-out doorways which framed both the paintings and, when the pages were turned, the verses. The images of the major arcana only revealed themselves halfway through the creation of the illustrations, inspiring the metamorphosis of the book into a deck of meditation cards with a hidden tarot.
