[edit] Description
Tarot of Casanova is an erotic deck inspired by the life of Giacomo Girolamo Casanova (1725-1798), famous for his Enlightenment-era travels, adventures, and seductions. In this deck, Raimondo's images focus on Casanova's tenure in the Republic of Venice and his reputation as an ardent, fickle, deceptive lover: Carnival masks, powdered wigs, and pneumatically pert women predominate. Also worth noting is that although the deck's subject is male, the objectification of female body is kept front and center. Still for all the idealized nudity, the deck does show a discernible structure of meanings suitable for reading.
