The LuminaDivinae ArTarot follows the Marseille Tarot structure, but with scenically illustrated pips. The 78 cards feature selections of artwork from the great European masters of Renaissance, which are not collaged. LuminaDivinae is an Art & Tarot deck with a double face function of divination and historical study. Being a true art inspired work, the 78 primal images of the cards were not changed by collage techniques in order to celebrate the symbolic value of each painting. The main purpose of the deck is the celebration of Renaissance Art & Tarot in their true essential and close nature.

Image reading and card games were a common social practice inside Italian Courts during the XVth to the early XVIIth Centuries, even before Tarot was used as a personal divinatory tool. In order to respect this historical legacy, the original artwork of LuminaDivinae ArTarot deck was digitally restored and reframed by author Mafalda Serrano to compose an independent set of reciprocal visual signs, according to Tarot symbolism and art history. Some cards picture the whole Renaissance restored artwork while others will cover a special outline of a significant detail. Cards are coloured and numbered according to the Tarot de Marseille's tradition. Renaissance times in Europe were deeply enriched by Eastern, Greek and Roman spiritual heritages; what means that sacred and profane elements are pictured in a surprising close proximity. Along the entire deck, Christian elements establish a symbolic dialogue with the pagan myths and daily characters of ancient Europe.

The LuminaDivinae ArTarot deck refers to the puzzling cultural atmosphere that gave birth to Modern Age in Europe and may still inspire us in times of post-modern challenges and global changes. Renaissance masters were profoundly skilled in the artistic fields of Religious art and portrait for their aim embraced the spiritual realm and the earthy levels of human existence.

Lumina is an old Latin expression for inspiration, sharing of the Light. Divinae refers to what is divine, the wisdom of the Sacred Feminine but also to everything that's mythic and natural. LuminaDivinae is a composed word inspired by early Latin language created by author Mafalda Serrano to praise Tarot cards as the Lights of the Goddess true memories of archaetypal Light enduring in Time.
